At St Peter’s we believe that every Christian is a global Christian.
Jesus tells His disciples “you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, Judea & Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” This is our pattern for action.
We extend the kingdom of God locally, nationally, and internationally. The Parish is our ‘Jerusalem’, the nation is our ‘Judea and Samaria’, and the international stage is our ‘ends of the earth’.
As a parish we have folk who work locally as well as national workers and international workers. We also engage in campaigns such as ‘make poverty history’ challenging third world debt, and ‘work a miracle’ bringing hope to AIDs victims in Africa. These are to bring about changes in line with the values of the kingdom of God.
We know that as we think globally and act locally, God works through us to “make disciples of all nations”.
