At St Peter’s we aim to be a caring church, where all can feel accepted and have the pastoral care they require. Small Groups provide an important focus for care within the fellowship, and so we encourage everybody to be part of such a group. We also recognise that lots of pastoral care goes on as part of the life of our church. However, we are concerned that everybody in the church has access to the care that they need and knows how to find it.
Jenny Penn is the Pastoral Care Co-ordinator and leads the Pastoral Care Team in the church. The team is available to pray with people, as well as visit and listen. Kathryn’s role is to facilitate the team, clergy and other leaders in the church, in responding to pastoral requests.
If you have a specific request, please use the cards on the seats in church or contact Jenny. Please also let her know if there is someone who is in hospital or ill at home who would like a visit. In the future we are aiming to have prayer available after each service at St Peter’s. Also there is the confidential Prayer Chain; contact Dorothy Wood or Helen Johnson via the Parish Office (01204-848567) with any specific prayer request.
