Welcome to St Peter’s website! We are a large evangelical Anglican church on the north-east edge of Bolton, with a membership of over 650 adults. We have four worship centres in the parish, each with their own distinctive style and ministry. Alongside St Peter’s (the parish church built in 1840), there is Barrow Bridge Mission, Hope Centre (home of St Andrew’s, serving the Johnson Fold Estate) and Smithills Fellowship (meeting in St Peter’s School and Smithills Hall chapel). The Parish Centre offers excellent facilities for a variety of groups and activities which take place during the week and on Sunday.

We are a group of Christians of all ages, at different stages in our growth as disciples of Jesus Christ.
