  Diane Ball
Centre Manager

St Peter's Parish have extended their Partnership with the charity
Christians Against Poverty (CAP)

We are really excited that our new CAP centre, called Bolton North, opened at the beginning of November 2010 with Diane Ball as the Centre manager, and a team of church members who have committed themselves to praying for the centre and the clients, or to giving practical help - going out on visits and befriending/supporting clients in various ways. The centre has been funded by the generous giving of members of the whole parish. This is a God-given opportunity to take His love into the homes of people who often have no hope and no future but have actually asked us into their homes and lives. When a client asks for CAP's help they also meet the local church.

The office is based in St Peters Parish Centre but the work with clients takes place in the client’s own home.

Diane can be contacted by :
phone : 07528382582

Our centre will receive referrals via the freephone number that all potential clients need to phone, in order to access the service, and an appointment is booked into the centre diary by the fully- trained staff who answer the phones in Bradford.

The number to call is 0800 328 0006

CAP will help anyone regardless of their religious beliefs. CAP aims to ensure that no one receives less favourable treatment on the grounds of race, nationality, religion, age, gender, marital status, sexual orientation or disability.

We do not pay client’s debts for them. CAP Central in Bradford put together a sustainable budget based on their income and living expenses. Any money left over is divided amongst their creditors based on the size of the debt owed to them. These payments are made by CAP on the client’s behalf, but with their own money.

If you or a family member, a friend or acquaintance need of the help of the CAP centre, the person themself needs to call the freephone number. Remember that the service is confidential and no-one needs to visit the Parish office to get help. In special circumstances people known to the church may be visited in a neutral venue rather than in their home for reasons of confidentiality.
