Vinny is originally from Bolton, and joined the team in September 2011. Before coming to St Peters Halliwell he was a Curate in Parr, St Helens for 4 years. Before he was ordained he was a youth worker in a church in Liverpool. He is married to Ruth, and they have one daughter, Lydia. Vinny is a keen Bolton Wanderers fan and as a family they like to go walking.
