A "Spearhead" mission is an in-depth approach to evangelism based on missionary and church growth principles. A "Spearhead" mission therefore:
■ Analyses the area in order to create strategic opportunities to present the Gospel.
■ Offers a team of experienced leaders to help the local churches to undertake the mission.
■ Mobilises and trains local leaders and lay people in ongoing evangelism.
■ Reaches the unchurched of a community, as well as the fringe, by effective methods of communication.
■ Presents high profile events where the Gospel is communicated in a relevant and biblical manner.
■ Conserves the fruit of a mission both in people's lives and in the new opportunities created by the mission.
