Telling Our Stories
Smithills Chapel

We forget too easily, and we need to encourage one another.

The bible is full of stories of ordinary people knowing an extraordinary God. Today we can tell our story to keep alive the memory of what God has done. If you feel able, please write of an incident, a circumstance, a time which tells how God is alive and real to you. Please use the space below. It can be written anonymously, but we would then like to write them up and offer them in such a way that is encouraging and faith-building for the church community and beyond. It would demonstrate that a great God is alive in our midst through the ups and downs of our lives. Let us recognise God in the small everyday happenings.
It need not be a long story. In fact ‘brief and real’ is the most helpful way of telling our stories. In telling our them we keep alive what God is doing. Some of these will be shared within the life of the church in the coming months.
Please be assured that your stories will be handled with love and sensitivity.
We pray that in sharing our stories others will be encouraged to see God at work.
If you need some guidance in telling your story the following headings may help you.
