Welcome to St. Peter's

In Church and On-line

After over a year of lockdowns and uncertainty our church buildings are starting to open up again and people are able to come in and worship together. At St. Peter's this means comfy seats, a live band and you can SING!

However, we recognise that some people might be a little anxious about what the end of restrictions looks like, especially if they have been affected by COVID-19. This video explains what you can expect when you come to St. Peter's.

Please continue to look out for each other, particularly those who are vulnerable or self-isolating, and seek support where necessary. We ask that you continue to wear masks when moving around church.

Please contact us by email (office@stpetersparish.info) or call 01204 599900 if you need help, prayer or just someone to chat with.

If you have any prayer needs then please email: pray@stpetersparish.info and a small group of people commit to pray for you in complete confidence.

Pray with us at 7:14 - UNITE714 initiative

If you have any specific prayer needs then please e-mail:
pray@stpetersparish.info where a small group of people commit to pray for you in complete confidence.

We have prepared a prayer trail for you to use to pray as you walk around the churchyard. You can read this guide on a smartphone or iPad, or print a copy at home. A small number of printed copies are available at the Parish Centre if neither of those options is possible for you. It is all outdoors, so why not arrange to meet up with a friend to pray together?

Repair and Build for the Future

In 2020, St. Peter's Church had it's 180th birthday. Those of us worshipping here today are benefiting from the stewardship and care of previous generations. We want to make sure that St. Peter's is ready to provide a gospel platform for the next 180 years and for future generations of worshippers. However, we a have a number of repairs to carry out.

Phase I of our repairs is to replace the decaying corridors with a new, welcoming and spacious entrance. Our contractors, Bullen Conservation, have started the work and the expected completion date is 19 November 2021.

We are grateful to all who have contributed so far to enable this work to proceed but, as with all building projects, there is a need for us to have a contingency fund. There will be further on-costs to cover in church so if you haven’t given already and wish to do so, your donation will still be very gratefully received. Just follow the Giving links below or at the bottom of this page.
