Thy Kingdom Come

As a parish, we are offering several ways to join the global wave of prayer calling all Christians to pray between Ascension and Pentecost for more people to come to know the love and peace of Jesus Christ.

1. 3 at 3 for 3 -This is very simply where we stop for 3 minutes at 3pm and pray for 3 peoplethat we may know of who don't believe in Jesus or who are in need of prayer. It’s a chance for us to join in with 'Thy Kingdom Come' in our workplaces, homes, countryside or wherever we find ourselves. Prayer changes lives, situations and culture. It catapults us to the forefront of Christian ministry. If you have any questions about ‘3 at 3 for 3’, please get in touch with Rev. Dave Brae.

2. Facebook prayer wall - look out for a new page linked to the St Peter's Halliwell page. We will post a new prayer each day and invite you to share your own prayers.

3.  As part of ‘Thy Kingdom Come’ this year at St Peter’s,we are running The Prayer Course, (the revised 24-7 Prayer course) featuring Pete Greig, starting on Monday 1st June, 7.30-8.30 pm on Zoom. The Prayer Course consists of 8 weeks journeying through the Lord’s Prayer. It is designed to equip and inspire us to go deeper in prayer, as individuals and as a community. It consists of a mixture of video content, discussion questions and practical prayer activities. To register for the course contact amanda@stpetersparish.info

4. Visit www.thykingdomcome.global to find lots more resources to help us to pray. They have produced a wonderful Digital Family Prayer Adventure Map, available via Google Play and the App Store.

Thy Kingdom Come –Youth Prayers On Friday 29th May starting at 9am, our young people and youth leaders are invited to join us in 24 hours of prayer -at home! Go to http://www.24-7prayer.com/signup/fc4cbe to book a ½-hour or 1-hour slot which is done individually at home, not online. Sarah has produced a 2-page printout to guide you through a creative prayer session during this time. When booking a slot, an e-mail address is requested - this will only be used to send you the prayer guide and a reminder an hour before your slot.
The youth of Zac's Youth Bars and Christ Church Pennington will be joining us on this exciting venture too! In addition, the Diocese of Manchester have asked young people to send in their prayers and everyday some will be shared online, culminating in a video/collage of all the prayers received from across the diocese onSunday 31st May. Prayers can be a picture of a post-it note, written, sung, a piece of music or a piece of artwork. They can be simple, short, long, or anonymous, but as real as you are feeling! Please e-mail yours to sarah@stpetersparish.info or send to our youth Instagram page (stpetershalliwellyouth)
