Thy Kingdom Come

As a parish, we are offering several ways to join the global wave of prayer calling all Christians to pray between Ascension and Pentecost for more people to come to know the love and peace of Jesus Christ.

1. 3 at 3 for 3 -This is very simply where we stop for 3 minutes at 3pm and pray for 3 peoplethat we may know of who don't believe in Jesus or who are in need of prayer. It’s a chance for us to join in with 'Thy Kingdom Come' in our workplaces, homes, countryside or wherever we find ourselves. Prayer changes lives, situations and culture. It catapults us to the forefront of Christian ministry. If you have any questions about ‘3 at 3 for 3’, please get in touch with Rev. Dave Brae.

2. Facebook prayer wall - look out for a new page linked to the St Peter's Halliwell page. We will post a new prayer each day and invite you to share your own prayers.

3.  As part of ‘Thy Kingdom Come’ this year at St Peter’s,we are running The Prayer Course, (the revised 24-7 Prayer course) featuring Pete Greig, starting on Monday 1st June, 7.30-8.30 pm on Zoom. The Prayer Course consists of 8 weeks journeying through the Lord’s Prayer. It is designed to equip and inspire us to go deeper in prayer, as individuals and as a community. The youth of Zac's Youth Bars and Christ Church Pennington will be joining us on this exciting venture too! In addition, the Diocese of Manchester have asked young people to send in their prayers and everyday some will be shared online, culminating in a video/collage of all the prayers received from across the diocese onSunday 31st May.
